Employer quota gate

The Malaysian Immigration Department states that employer or company applications for foreign workers are subject to quota approval. Employers should confirm the current authority, sector window and evidence required before requesting candidates.

Visa With Reference (VDR)

The Immigration Department describes foreign-worker entry using a VDR issued by Malaysian Immigration and an entry visa issued by the Malaysian representative office in the source country. A CV shortlist or employer offer is not a VDR.

Medical examination

Official guidance describes source-country health certification and a post-arrival FOMEMA examination for VP(TE). The exact current pathway and approved providers must be checked for the demand; medical attendance does not guarantee fitness or visa approval.

Visit Pass Temporary Employment

VP(TE) is the Malaysian temporary-employment pass described for foreign workers. Issuance and extensions are controlled by Immigration and depend on the conditions and documents in force.

Entry and receiving responsibility

The employer should plan authorised entry, clearance, transport, accommodation, post-arrival medical steps and induction. Sabah and Sarawak may operate under separate jurisdiction and procedures.

Review discipline

This guide displays its review date because policies, fees and channels change. PSFM will not publish a fee, salary or processing-time promise without current official evidence.

Common recruitment questions

Is recruitment from Bangladesh to Malaysia operationally open now?

The bilateral reopening has been announced, but an official Bangladesh ministry update published on 28 August 2026 still described the market as set to reopen soon and told workers to wait for an official notice before paying money, undergoing medical examinations or submitting passports. PSFM therefore keeps the status Announced until an implementing authority publishes an active intake route, effective date and actionable process.

Which Malaysia sectors are covered by this cluster?

The Malaysian Immigration Department identifies manufacturing, construction, agriculture, plantation and services as approved foreign-worker sectors. Each employer requirement remains subject to the sector, quota, source-country, immigration, medical and other rules in force when the application is made.

Does a role example mean PSFM has a live vacancy or approved quota?

No. Role lists explain possible workforce categories only. A vacancy exists only when a verified Malaysian employer submits a current demand and the applicable authorities permit the route and process.

What should a Malaysian employer send first?

Send the company identity, work location, sector, job titles, headcount, experience requirements, salary range, working hours, benefits, accommodation, transport, insurance, contract duration, interview method and target dates. PSFM will review the brief before discussing sourcing.

Does PSFM guarantee quota, visa, arrival or deployment?

No. Quota, immigration permission, medical fitness, visa issuance, travel and deployment depend on employers, candidates and the relevant Malaysian and Bangladesh authorities. PSFM provides recruitment coordination and readiness support only for verified demand.
